Sports Injuries
Many athletes, both amateur and professional, suffer injuries at some point during their career.
One of the most common problems experienced are musculoskeletal injuries as a consequence of jogging. The patella (kneecap) is especially vulnerable to overuse injuries.
Although athletes should take good care to prevent injury by selecting a suitable running shoe, discarding the shoe once its mileage exceeds 500-600 miles, resting between training sessions, and doing adequate warm-up/cool-down exercises, sometimes injuries are unavoidable
"I was a keen runner, going out about five times a week. Unfortunately, running on tarmac took its toll, and the knee pain I experienced forced me to stop. Since using ACUMED™, I have started low level jogging three times a week. I take care of myself, and try to run on grass, and I’m glad to say, I’m pain free".

RSi
Repetitive Strain Injury or RSI is the name given to a broad range of injuries caused by overuse, repetition, poor posture and stress. RSI affects muscles, nerves and tendons. RSI includes tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, tenosynovitis, and non-specific pain syndrome. Symptoms include aches, pain, swelling, numbness, tingling, cramps and weakness.
"Typing at the computer caused me immense pain in the lower arms and wrists. Both arms had swollen up considerably, and I found myself taking pain relief more often so that I could complete a day’s work. I don’t know how things would have gone, had I not discovered
the benefits of ACUMED™".
